It's midnight, and I'm going to bed. I'm tired, and I need some rest for tomorrow's day at work. I turn off my PC's screen and I turn off the TV. I turn off the lights on the first floor and I head upstairs. I go to the bathroom, I turn on the lights, and I turn on the sink. I grab my toothbrush and my tube of toothpaste. I put on the toothpaste and I brush my teeth. I turn off the sink. I floss. I gurgle some mouthwash. I turn off the lights and head to my room. I get into bed, and I fall asleep.
It's around two in the morning now. I've awoken. I'm not sure why, but I think I can hear it. It's a strange sound coming from downstairs. I hear some strange percussion sounds. I listen closely. I can hear some sort of voice. At this point, I'm unsure what is going on, but I'm too tired to get out of bed. I feel scared. I hide under my sheets, and I fall asleep again.
I check my clock. It's almost three now. I wake up again. The sound is still there, in the same order. It's almost as if it repeats. I listen closely again, and I can hear some sort of trumpet sound. I can also hear record scratches. I wonder what's going on down there. Has someone broken into my house and started a party? I hear more. I feel more tense. I can hear the voice saying "a little bit of". A little bit of what? I listen more. I can hear some sort of steps for a dance move. My heart starts beating fast. Sweat is running down my face. The noise continues. I hide in my closet and I, through all my anxiety, fall asleep again.
I don't know what time it is. I can still hear the sound. This time, I can hear more. I can hear the voice saying "ladies and gentlemen, this is", followed by some word that starts with an M, and five. I'm terrified. I want to find what's causing this. I get out of the closet and I run downstairs. I can hear somebody counting from one through five. I can hear the record scratching getting louder. The noise is so loud.
Downstairs, I search all over the place. I grab a knife and run everywhere. I run to my basement to check. But nobody else is in my house. I then find my PC. The voice is the loudest there. I can hear the voice singing a song. Suddenly, I remember it all. I remember the the sound and the song that it is.
It's Lou Bega - Mambo No. 5.
